Chill take two needed wins in Manitoba

Chill goes to 3-2-1 to take over 3rd place in the Heartland

The Thunder Bay Chill were awarded with 6 points this weekend after travelling to Winnipeg, Manitoba to complete their series with WSA Winnipeg for the season. 

Alain Sargent and Pedro Adan scored for the Chill in Friday night's contest with a 2-1 win over host WSA. Sargent converted a 21st minute corner kick with his head to open the scoring and then Adan added to the scoring in the 39th minute when the Chill were awarded a penalty kick. 

It was double pks's in the return match Saturday night that helped the Chill secure a 4-0 win in the rematch. WSA went down to 10 men early in the game however they were able to keep the Chill to only one goal at the half. The Chill broke open the game by netting 3 goals in the 2nd half. Goal scorers were Glusevic (PK), Neves, Kuemmerle, and Sawula (PK). 

The Chill will now travel home to host long time rivals Des Moines Mencace next Friday and Saturday June 21st and 22nd. Game day tickets can be purchased one hour before game time. Doors open at 6:30pm.
