PDL Team of the Week
Andrew Marinez named to PDL team of the week

USL News Release

July 21, 2010

United Soccer Leagues announced the PDL Team of the Week today, with Andy Aguilar, goalkeeper for the Southern California Seahorses, being named Player of the Week. Andy had a stellar match for the Seahorses, making big saves and keeping a clean sheet against the dangerous Hollywood United Hitmen.

Stefan St. Louis of the Michigan Bucks made the Team of the Week for the second consecutive week, following up his excellent performance last week with a hat trick and an assist against Toronto. Mauricio Harris also put in a stellar performance, scoring two goals after Lancaster was trailing L.A., 2-0.

In the midfield, there was plenty of offensive power this week as well. Long Island’s Dominick Sarle put in two against Albany, including the game-winning goal. Freddie Braun of Portland also recorded a game winner and assisted on two others as his side trumped Victoria.
Daniel Barrera scored twice and assisted on another to help Ventura County overcome Lancaster. Andrew Marinez also put in two in Thunder Bay’s 2-0 win against Real Colorado.

David Lilly of the first place Mississippi Brilla, assisted on two goals in a controlling midfield performance against Fort Lauderdale.

Defender Seth Goldman of Northern Virginia came up big for the Royals as he scored the game-winning goal in the 90th minute during the side’s trip to Bermuda. Fellow defenders Colton O’Neill of Abbotsford and Samuel Morris of Des Moines contributed goals as well.
